Currently working as a graphic designer for Sparrows Group, an offshore crane company based in Aberdeen.  I also try to create as much personal work as I can in my spare time.

I set up the company Donald Smith Graphic Design in April 2008, and still do the odd bit of work on the side, although not much since beginning my new role.  The company base was originally in the village of Ness, which is situated at the north-west tip of the Western Isles, Scotland.

Prior to that I had worked as an in-house graphic designer at a community development company since graduating from Grays School of Art (Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen) in the summer of 2005 – where I gained a Ba (Hons) in Visual Communication.  During my time at university I also spent every summer working as a graphic designer for various agencies in Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis, gaining invaluable experience in the process.

Fortunately my work is also my hobby, and I believe that passion is evident in my work.  Most of my spare time is taken up with designing, illustration, photography and many other creative activities.
