‘Winnie the Pooh’ Comic Strip….

…Ok, before you view the below images, know one thing – I am pretty sure that Neal is sane….I think….

To give you a bit of a backstory, Neal used to write twisted versions of Winnie the Pooh short stories for fun. And when he won a free illustration off me in a company raffle, he decided he wanted to convert one of them into an A2 canvas, created in a minimalist Calvin & Hobbes style. Below you’ll see the initial draft sketch and final illustration, and a close up of a few frames too.

The story itself is very entertaining, and this was a really fun illustration to work on – Pooh killing off the gang one-by-one wasn’t something I’d ever expected to draw! But really happy with how it turned out, and Neal now has it hanging at home.

Should make for an interesting ice-breaker for guests over Christmas! Click on the images to enlarge….
