Below you will find a selection of my illustration work, some of which will have been used in personal and work projects:
ILLUSTRATED POSTERS
These are all recent large-scale illustrated designs, that I have had produced in poster form – for more details visit the shop section:
RECENT ILLUSTRATIONS (END 2011)
SPORT
Digital illustration of Chelsea captain John Terry slipping in the rain and missing a decisive penalty in the Champions League Final loss to Man Utd in Moscow.

These are just a few of the daily 10-minute illustrations I created for the ‘Player of the Day’ theme during the 2010 World Cup.
(This one is available as a free, downloadable desktop – click to enlarge, then right-click to save)
This was a 10-minute illustration of Mike Tyson
This was another digital illustration done right before the 2011 Superbowl kicked off:
MOVIES
This poster was a personal project which I designed for a contest online.
I can’t win as prizes only for US residents, but it made for an interesting project.
The next 3 images were all entered into a contest run by Crazy4Cult, with the winner being displayed in poster form in an LA art gallery – of which the third image made it into the final 10, which went to an online vote. You can see the other entries here – http://g1988.blogspot.com/2008/08/test-contest.html
An illustrated poster for the cult horror film ‘Candyman’.

2 legends doing battle in ‘Way of the Dragon’.

The director Kevin Smith (Dogma, Clerks) was one of the judges who voted on this design, which incorporates 2 cult films – and this design became the inspiration for my own corporate identity.
TELEVISION
I am currently working on a series of large televison related illustrations, for a collection to be entitled ‘Cult Viewing’ – these are a few of the sections from The Wire which Ive been working on…

MUSIC
The next two are both musical illustrations – the first one was used on tour posters for a band called ‘Sunrise not Secular’, while the second is a general design that I hope to use on something in the future.

Illustration incorporating each band member playing for the Scottish tour posters.

A musical montage design.
FASHION
I also enjoy combining photography and illustration to create strong visual images, as depicted below.

A photoillustration advert draft that was part of a brief for The Harris Tweed Authority.
STUDENT WORK

My first (decent) digital illustration, made in 1999, of a section of an Indian motorbike. Done using Macromedia Freehand – oh those were the days!

A layered illustraion created for a collective project, printed on acetate.

Great, really enjoyed this
Hi, Congratulations on the site.
It would be interesting to hear if you run into copy-write issues when using photos as the origins of your commercial illustrations?
Have you heard about the Shepard Fairey case? A very interesting read for anyone who uses similar techniques.
Incredible stuff – well done!
Good ILLUSTRATED POSTERS! Compliments! Really beautiful!
Thanks!
There’s some cool shit here man!
